SCOOP has a vigorous process of recruitment, vetting and training. Our staff have a variety of skills and experience, all from different professional backgrounds. Our recruitment process is primarily through word of mouth and employee referral. The benefit of employee referral is that each of our members of staff feels like they are contributing to the wellbeing of their clients, through referring staff for a job who they personally trust, and feel would excel at the job! After an interview, DBS and references are then completed.

Who are we?

We are a local, family run business based in Kesgrave. SCOOP was founded 25 years ago by our directors Sheryl and Phillip Garnham SCOOP was established as a service because Sheryl and Phillip felt strongly that there was a need to develop support for individuals living in the community. Drawing on their own experience, and evidence gained through liaising with other agencies, they established that care in the community for older people falls short of meeting the individual needs, and SCOOP was then founded! We have a clear understanding of how an individuals needs change throughout different circumstances within their lives. We provide a tailored service based on those needs, within their own home, so they can continue to live as independently as possible! We support people over the age of 18, providing a high quality service, enabling them to fulfil and maintain their chosen lifestyle, whilst being advocated for every step of the way!
